2023 Ice Hockey World Championship - participant flags

The 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship is the 87th Ice Hockey World Championship. It will take place from May 12 to 28, 2023, in Finland (Tampere) and Latvia (Riga), which hosted the 2022 and 2021 World Championships, respectively.

Initially, the championship was planned to be held in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, but after the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia was stripped of its hosting rights. The original host city was officially announced during the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Bratislava, Slovakia.
