Flag of Augšdaugava Municipality
Highlight the spirit and pride of the Augšdaugava Municipality with its new flag. Deputies approved this flag on April 13, 2023, offering residents and visitors of the municipality a symbol that reflects the majesty of the Daugava River and regional unity.
Flag design: The design of the mast flag is vertically divided, with a blue stripe on the left and a white field on the right. The ratio between the divisions is 1:3. The white field is adorned with a centered coat of arms of Augšdaugava Municipality, creating a strong visual accent.
Colour symbolism: The colours of the flag – blue, green, dark grey, white and light grey – are carefully chosen to symbolize the flow of the Daugava River, as well as the connection of Latgale and Sēlija in Augšdaugava Municipality.
Description of the coat of arms: The coat of arms is divided by a wavy cut – blue on top, light grey on the bottom. The top part depicts a waving light grey flag with three-part split ends, while the bottom part shows a green oak growing from a green grassy hill, symbolizing life and fertility.
The flag is offered with flexible pantones that can be adjusted according to the flag manufacturing and printing requirements to ensure the highest quality and long-lasting aesthetics.
