Since 2009, Riebiņi municipality officially acquired its coat of arms and flag, which were solemnly consecrated on November 18, 2009, in Stabulnieki, as part of the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.
The coat of arms and flag of the municipality feature a rosette – a window decoration found in the Latgale territory, including the territory of Riebiņi municipality. The municipal logo, on the other hand, depicts stylized windmills, based on the Pastari windmills located in the territory of Riebiņi municipality, which are unique in that they are the only reconstructed Dutch-type windmills in Latvia.
